Nuts cooked

castanhas cozidas

Ingredients:
500 g of nuts in shell
1 spoon (soup) of herb fresh beans
salt to taste
Water qb

Preparation:
Wash very well the nuts . Cut a small slice at the top of the nut. Place chestnuts in a saucepan, cover with water, add the herb sweet and salt (just a little!).
Cook for about 35 minutes at 4. To verify that the chestnuts are cooked should stick a Farfa in the opening made in chestnut. Do not cook too much, leaving stiff suits.

Note: You can add a cinnamon stick to cooking.

    I tried your suggestion and really liked it. Never had cooked chestnuts. Next time I will have to increase the amount because everyone loved it. Cinnamon are really a delight!
